New AkzoNobel logo

25 April 2008

AkzoNobelNew.png On April 25 2008 Chemical company AkzoNobel presented a new company logo very similar to the previous one designed by Wolff Olins in 1988. That one was inspired by an ancient Greek sculpture and caused big commotion at its launch in the Arabic world because it was said Islam forbids graphical depictions of humans.

According to a company press release the new logo ' has been made more relevant for the 21st century and now has a greater sense of power and energy ' and that was just one of the empty public relation slogans.
